Photovoltaics - Via Filling for Interconnection
Via filling for interconnections between the front and back of photovoltaic (PV) cells can be achieved by using non-contact jet dispensing, which helps make the roll-to-roll process more efficient.
Many CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) PV suppliers focus on applying roll-to-roll process to production for cost saving, while eliminating silicon consumption. And PV panels require interconnections between front and back sides to stack cell voltage. These interconnections are made through vias, which have insulation and conductive layers. PV suppliers may want to apply roll-to-roll to the interconnection process as well as to the CIGS deposition process.
Jet dispensing makes the roll-to-roll process more efficient by firing certain amount fluid to fast moving targets (vias) with distance.
